Editions and Pre-order Bonuses
Phantom Blade Zero comes in two editions, the Standard Edition at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99, which adds the Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form outfits, a digital artbook and the soundtrack. Pre-ordering either edition unlocks the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit early; neither edition has early access. Outside China it launches as a download only; S-Game announced on Oct 21, 2026 that Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate physical editions for PS5 follow in 2027.
Phantom Blade Zero comes in two editions: the Standard Edition at $59.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $69.99 on Steam and the US PlayStation Store. The Deluxe Edition adds two outfits, Wulin Legend and Blood-Steel Form, a digital artbook and the digital soundtrack, and a pre-order of either edition unlocks the Treasure Basin accessory and the Legacy outfit early; both bonuses can also be earned by playing. Pre-orders opened on Aug 11, 2026 at 7 p.m. PT (Aug 12 at 10 a.m. in Beijing) with S-Game's 11-minute Pre-Order Trailer, which ends on exactly this offer: a crying infant, the credit "Donnie Yen, Creative Consultant, Facial & Motion Capture Actor for Mó Yuan", a card reading "10/29/2026" with "Pre-order now!" over the PlayStation 5, Steam and Epic Games Store logos, and a last card setting out the Standard Edition at $59.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $69.99, each with its list of extras. Neither edition plays early, and outside China the game launches only as a download; physical PS5 editions follow in 2027, S-Game announced with its launch trailer on Oct 21, 2026. It launches on Oct 29, 2026 (Release Date and Time).

Standard Edition
The Standard Edition is the full game for $59.99 in the US, on Steam and on the PlayStation Store; S-Game's official site lists its contents simply as "Full Game". That is $10 under the $70 at which many new games now launch, a point MixBreed Gaming makes in its guide to the editions (Oct 5, 2026). Nothing in the story, the weapons or the bosses is held back for the Deluxe Edition: what it adds is cosmetic and digital extras. Pre-ordering the Standard Edition brings the same two early unlocks as the Deluxe Edition.
Pre-order bonuses: Treasure Basin and Legacy
Every pre-order, Standard or Deluxe, gets two items early: the "Early Unlock Accessory: Treasure Basin" and the "Early Unlock Outfit: Legacy". MixBreed Gaming explains that the Treasure Basin "increases your remnant dust drop by 10%", a useful bonus rather than "just another cosmetic", and stresses that "neither of these items is actually locked behind the pre-order": the official PlayStation listing says both can also be obtained through normal play, so a pre-order only gets them sooner. S-Game's own site carries the same note. Waiting for reviews therefore costs nothing but a head start.
More Remnant Dust matters because the supply is limited. Fextralife, after playing the first two chapters in Beijing, explains that enemies do not respawn, so "the currency you gain from defeating enemies that you're going to use to unlock more skills and to upgrade your weapons is finite": every point has to be weighed between weapon upgrades and skills. Remnant Dust is the name the PlayStation Store gives that currency in its description of the Treasure Basin. How skills and upgrades work is on Skills and Upgrades.
Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $69.99, $10 more than the Standard Edition, and its extras are cosmetic and digital. S-Game lists them as "Deluxe Edition Exclusive Outfit: Wulin Legend", "Deluxe Edition Exclusive Outfit: Blood-Steel Form", "Digital Artbook" and "Digital Soundtrack (OST)". As MixBreed Gaming puts it, these are "two additional looks for Soul", with no expansion, no exclusive weapon and no extra boss fight, plus an artbook and the soundtrack; its verdict is that the choice comes down to how much you care about cosmetics. Whether the two Deluxe outfits can also be earned in play is not settled: S-Game's site places its "can also be obtained through in-game progression" note where it could cover both lists, while the PlayStation Store applies it only to the pre-order bonuses (Oct 10, 2026). Soul himself is on Soul.
The soundtrack is one of the game's most praised parts. Fextralife says S-Game "did an absolutely outstanding job with the music", which runs "from like hard rock to soothing cultural music", and notes that "each boss actually has their own soundtrack", so the music shifts when a frantic boss fight begins. S-Game's music director, Bo Caisheng, mixes the pipa and erhu with electronic music, rock and hardcore house, and GameSpot's preview called the soundtrack "killer". As for the artbook, the game's art is built, in art director Michael's words, on research first and invention second, with masks and red threads as recurring symbols (Kungfupunk).
Prices around the world
The Standard and Deluxe Editions sell at these prices, read on the stores on Oct 10, 2026. The PlayStation Store charges more than Steam in Europe and the UK; both are correct for their own store. Epic Games Store prices could not be read.

In China, owners of the Standard Edition can buy an upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for the difference.
Fortnite: the Soul Outfit
Buying or pre-ordering Phantom Blade Zero on the Epic Games Store also unlocks Soul in Fortnite: the Soul Outfit, with the Sanguine Pickaxe and a back bling, from Aug 11, 2026, according to Epic's FAQ as guides report it. Players who already own the set are reported to get V-Bucks instead, and a refund removes it. The same reports put the set in Fortnite's Item Shop from Oct 29, 2026 at 8 p.m. ET to Nov 5, 2026. A PlayStation Store or Steam purchase does not count. Sanguine is also the name of Soul's default long sword in the game (Weapons).
The China-only collector's edition
There is one physical edition, and it is for China only. MixBreed Gaming describes it: it costs 1,199 Chinese yuan, roughly $170 to $180, its centerpiece is a 1/12 scale figure of Soul with interchangeable heads, hands and weapons, fabric clothing and a display base, and it adds a Flame Lion Head necklace, a keychain styled on the twin snake blades, a weapon compendium and printed material, in a run of 20,000 sets over two batches. "There isn't a physical game disc in the box": instead it holds a WeGame code for the Digital Deluxe Edition, which Beebom reports can be redeemed for PS5 or Steam. It was sold through S-Game's official store on JD.com, with the first batch due to ship by Oct 29, 2026 and the second by Dec 31, 2026.
Is there a physical edition?
Not at launch, but one is coming in 2027. With its launch trailer on Oct 21, 2026, S-Game announced: "One more thing: the PS5 physical edition arrives in 2027!" (RPG Site, Oct 22, 2026). It comes in three versions, Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate, and the Ultimate Edition comes in a collectible steel case (FullCleared, Noisy Pixel, Oct 21, 2026); S-Game has not given a month, prices or the other contents as of Oct 22, 2026. There is no PC disc. Until then the game is sold as a download only, on the PlayStation Store, Steam and the Epic Games Store. The news reverses what a retailer had said: in Oct 2026 Play-Asia removed its PS5 listing, and its customer service told a buyer that "there will not be a physical edition available" (Wccftech, Oct 8, 2026), while S-Game had not answered when Kotaku asked about a disc in Aug 2026. The game runs on PS5 and PC only (Platforms).
Pre-order history
Pre-orders opened on Aug 11, 2026 at 7 p.m. PT, a time S-Game announced with its Pre-Order Teaser on Aug 6, the same day it said development was complete. Within a day Phantom Blade Zero was No. 1 on Steam's sales chart, Inven Global reported, and by Aug 19 it stood seventh among Steam's global top sellers and seventh in US PlayStation Store pre-orders. Liang wrote that pre-orders had "far exceeded expectations". Sales estimates by outside analysts have not been confirmed by S-Game. Six days after pre-orders opened, the State of Play deep dive showed the game's combat and world in detail (Trailers).

Skills and UpgradesPhantom Blade Zero has no experience points or character levels: Soul grows through a skill tree opened at bells, weapon upgrades that unlock new forms and can be refunded for free with the Reforging Talisman, accessories, and Memory Flowers that raise his health. The currency, Remnant Dust, is finite because killed enemies stay dead.

The stage actor Yucheng gave him his likeness and motion capture; his father is Mó Yuan, played by Donnie Yen. -
