Endings
PowerPyx's guide finds two endings in Phantom Blade Zero, Normal and True, against the eight director Soulframe Liang promised before launch. The True Ending needs every purple-icon quest done, ten of them before you enter Mirage Estate, and leads to a hidden last boss after Meng Hua.
Phantom Blade Zero has two endings by PowerPyx's guide of Oct 29, 2026, Normal and True, and the True Ending needs every purple-icon quest finished, ten of them before you enter Mirage Estate. S-Game told GameSpot in 2025 that side quests would influence the ending, and Soulframe Liang told Game Rant in Dec 2025 that there were eight. No guide read on Oct 31, 2026 from an established outlet lists eight, and S-Game has not published a list, so treat the count as open. Spoilers follow.

How to get the True Ending
- Before entering Mirage Estate, finish these ten quests, marked with a purple icon in the story menu: Deep in the Valley, Illusion of Inanis, Sha-Chi Powered Boat, Allure of Vanity, Illusory Pipa, Pillars of Kunlun, Whence the Weeping, The Herald's Illusion, Crimson Manor and Secrets at the Heart of the Lake (PowerPyx).
- Enter Mirage Estate through the Serpent Door at the Green Serpent House in Pangzhen.
- Finish Bloodline Awakening by clearing all five Long Pillars. The fifth is in Mirage Estate (GosuGamers).
- Finish other side quests before Mount Soulrend, since some close there.
- Beat Meng Hua. With every step done, the true final boss follows.
What the purple quests ask
GosuGamers sets out the pieces these quests need:
| Crystal Puppet Eyes | Yin from the Mountain of Imprisonment; Yang from the hidden boss in Crimson Manor |
| Four Acolyte masks | Yanru in Village of Lu, Leiting in Pangzhen, Guhe in Meigu Lake, Hansui in Crimson Manor |
| Secret realm | The mirror at the Four Guardian's Mirror bell, in Meigu Lake's frozen northwest |
| Long Pillars | Weeping Creek Valley, Crimson Forest, Meigu Lake East, Phantom Illusionist Ruins, Mirage Estate |
| Serpent parts | Red Tongue in Crimson Forest, Black Fang in Village of Lu, White Eye on a Meigu Lake island |
TheSixthAxis's reviewer reached the finale after around 40 hours and mentions a secret ending tied to challenge areas. If you miss the window, a manual save from before Mirage Estate is the way back; PowerPyx counts 20 manual slots. Keep one.

- Side QuestsPhantom Blade Zero's side quests are called Tales; PowerPyx counts 30. Most reward a weapon or accessory, purple-icon quests decide the True Ending, and several fail when the story moves on.
- Trophies and AchievementsPhantom Blade Zero has 36 trophies on PS5, among them one Platinum, Defy Destiny, and 66 achievements on Steam. None depends on difficulty, one playthrough can earn them all, PowerPyx estimates 30 to 40 hours, and seven are missable.
